[Holy Adepts can wear all forms of armor, though the heavy armors don't allow for any DEX bonus and also the metal in the heavy armors creates magical static, which interferes with spellcasting (we don't use the "armor is too restrictive" rule of D&D, as I never liked it, and mages and adepts don't need elaborate gestures - that's all show, so whatever armor you want. Caide has a DEX: 2, so it just depends on whether you want that to figure in or how high you plan on raising your DEX, etc. If you purchased the talent, Suppress Static 1, that ignores 2 points of protection from heavy armors, so you have no chance of failing when casting miracles, which means that if you were wearing scale armor, which causes -5 on your power attack rolls with miracles, if you buy Suppress Static 1, that penalty to attacks drops by 2, making your attack penalty -3. Now, if you bought heavy leather armor, which grants +3 DEF, then added your +2 DEX, however, you're still getting the +5 DEF the scale armor provides, but have no penalties. Suppress Static is really only helpful if you have no DEX bonus or want really good armor types.]
"There's no one I trust more than He, friend." Klutarkes said. He smiled, and though he has little experience carrying others, he has faith indeed, and takes Caide across without incident. [Nightwing, does T'Sarreth jump? If so, please make a skill check, if not, Klutarkes will offer to carry him.] Once across and on their way, they find they no longer hear the cries of the tiny nehi, though they recall the approximate direction and Klutarkes makes no attempt to move silently when they reach the field of bones. Rushing into the griffon's den, he looks around, but does not see the nehi anywhere.
The only other location left to check is the unexplored tunnel leading down into the darkness before them ...
