Far From Home (IC)

Postby NexusX » Wed Jul 08, 2009 2:34 pm

This is a continuation of the adventures that started with T'Sarreth on the world of Mawr Dobb. That party has split in half, and due to certain factors, I decided it best to create this new IC thread, which means we're going to go off on a whole new adventure ... the sky is NOT the limit! We can use 1-2 more players!

OOC THREAD

Official Lineup:
T'Sarreth: High elf Ranger(Nightwing)
Caide Delancis: Human Holy Adept (Gicker)
Klutarkes: Ptyerx Paragon (NexusX/GM PC)

In the Cave of the Griffon

By Nightwing (Director's Cut IC):
"Do you really want to shoot me?"
T'Sarreth says.

The nehi slowly lowered his bow and stared at the absurdly tall being before him. Finally he said, "My apologies," the short, black-haired nehi said in elven. "You startled me. I've been ... visiting these caves for some time now and haven't seen a sole, other than a few near mindless barbarians that moved in recently, and the griffon, of course. My name is Timnoth." He bowed slightly and stepped out from the depression in the wall to stand before T'Sarreth.

"My friend is hurt," T'Sarreth said back in elvish. "We can get to know each other later."

He moved back over to help the fallen Klutarkes.

(Can T'Sarreth move him? How much does he weigh?)

Pteryx are light weight, hollow-boned creatures - even with his light armor and gear, he weighs under 100 pounds. Timnoth looks concerned and follows T'Sarreth into the cave.
"You look like a ranger. Do you have potions of healing or are you a holy adept?"
He said in a curious tone.

Sadly no I don't, and I am not," T'sarreth says. He lifts the birdman up and begins to carry him out of the cave. "Come on."

Timnoth looks at the pteryx and says nothing as they walk. Stopping at the pool where they'd encountered the big furry creature and the body stealer, the nehi said, finally, "I'm sorry about your friend. I may have something here that could help, I suppose, if you promise I get whatever might be in that cave back there."

One thing odd T'Sarreth noticed about Timnoth. He wasn't covered head to toe in tatoos like so many other nehi he'd heard about (for he'd seen precious few in his years, being that so few lived in Xorakistan). Still, from what he knew of their culture, tats were very common, considered important even. Yet Timnoth had none visible.
"Well?"

"I have no interest in the items of the cave," T'Sarreth says.

"And I'm sure I don't either, Timnoth said, but just to be safe, an' all. See, I've been living in these caves awhile now, and when the griffon goes off to hunt, I always sneak in and take what I can. It ain't much of a job, but it's a livin'." The nehi looks at T'Sarreth for a moment, considering him more carefully and says, "Yer not from 'round here, are you? Where'd you come from, 'n where're you headed, if you don't mind my askin' - jus' curious's all." He handed T'Sarreth a small vial of powder. "You know - , Magic Mix. Stir this in with some water ... or milk or whatever, an it'll heal him some."

[OOC: T'Sarreth is familar with Magic Mix - the street name. The technical term escapes him at the moment. It is a cheap potion - works just as good, but requires longer prep time.]

"I'm from Xor- well, let's just say I'm not from around here, no. Thank you." He prepares the elixir and gives it to Klutarkes.

[OOC: Klutarkes heals 13 points].

The pteryx paragon wakes up, looking horrible, and feeling achy, but all of his wounds close, though there is still internal damage. He lays on hands to heal himself a little further and smiles at T'Sarreth. "You have my thanks, friend T'Sarreth. I take it by your calmness that the creature is dead or ran off? Ho, what have we here?" He says, noticing the nehi suddenly.

"I ... I'm Timnoth," the small humanoid said, "At yer service. Welcome back to the living. It twas me magic mix that healed you." He said with a smile.
