And as I promised, I fiddled with the landscape some more by giving the foreground a paintover layer with some vegetation.

Again, very cool painting, Pippa! Nice touches you added. Oh, regarding your big personal project featured 2 posts ago, I liked the art links, but I was not able to find the animated feature listed at the top of your post - I found a site that showed some of your grayscale pics, but not animation - there were several files all over that page. Which one in particular was your project? I wish I could navigate that page better, but I only know English! :(

Oh, sorry 'bout that.

You need to scroll down a little - the actual documentary is the large picture of the minister putting his jacket on, with the 'play' button in the middle. Above, it reads, 'Panorama 7/2: Het failliet van Financiën'. Be warned: in 45 minutes there's only six or seven that contain my stuff. If you can wait, I'll try to upload a compilation of the animated things to youtube at the end of the week.

Below the video, there's the same picture of the minister again, but tinier, that says 'making of'. It's nothing special, but you get to see a close-up of my right eye if you can bring up the patience to sit through it all.

Dammit. I know I said this:
If you can wait, I'll try to upload a compilation of the animated things to youtube at the end of the week
, but I've been (and still am) encountering every possible difficulty along the way it seems. No matter what encoder I try, things go glitchy on me, and when I cranked out a giganormous Quicktime file to get it over with, Youtube refuses to upload (even though I stayed under the 2Gb and the 10 minute ceiling), causing Firefox to abandon ship in the process. Not fun, boys and girls, not fun at all.

But, don't worry, I'll find a way. I'll find it, even if I have to burn down all of Paris!

I guess I'll just have to go back to that site that I can't read, and try to hunt down your video again, Pippa. I do look forward to seeing what you came up with! Now, is there another leg or two to that project or is it all completed? Did they offer you any other projects? Inquiring fans want to know what the Pippa's up to! (Aside from painting my shadow runners, that is!) ;)

No, no other projects right now besides finding work again.

I'm going to make a trip to Brussels visiting friends and the Palace of Fine Arts, but afterwards i'll make my best effort of getting this thing online. I'd like to use it for porfolio purposes too, you know...

How are things coming on the youtube upload angle?

It would be good to see your animation, and the whole "Paris thing" is a price I'd be willing to pay. ;)

Thank you warp9.

The uploading has proven a total fiasco. No matter what format, what filesize - youtube's uploading acts glitchy on me, causing firefox to enter 'not responding' mode more than once.

There's more people with a similar problem out there from what I've seen on their forum, and I'm running out of ideas as to how I can still show my stuff. Because not only did I promise Bob, but we've got another animator on the team also so that would have been quite interesting. Not that mine's exactly Oscar-award material but still.

I'm still waiting with the burning down all of Paris thing, because I saw some stuff in the Louvre I'd rather see moved over here for safekeeping first.
But you knew where I got the idea from, right?

It seems that Pippa was the only one posting personal art work ... I can't let her have all of the fun :!:

An old AD&D character I had played a long time ago ... I lost the character sheet to her :(

Heh, she reminds me of a girl I dated once, D3viant ... ok, a character I used to run - Gamora, till the god Ranos gave her a sliver of his divine power and made her an Ascended. That was a long time ago, though thanks to the god PbP games, she's back in action! I still have her mortal character sheet in one of my box-loads of gaming supplies, but I hate when I lose a character - or worse still, when I retire a character I don't think I'm ever going to play again, and toss the sheet. Argh! I haven't done that in a long time, but it annoys me to no end, because I love to go back and look at old character sheets! It reminds me of earlier versions of the game system and brings back fond memories of old adventures! Nice pic! :D
