ARTIFACTS:
Poisyn keeps two throwing daggers on her person: 'Snakebite', a crude and barbed slice of metal coated in Poisyn's most deadly and painful brew, meant to bodily hurt and slay who oppose her, and 'Snake's Tongue', a twisted blade that can pass through armour and infects the mind irrepairibly.

- Snakebite: +5 Unholy/Throwing/Returning/Keen/Dagger of Distance (8 +7 Unholy damage + poison) (Criticals on 17-20, Range increment 4 squares)
Returns to Poisyn's hand if she hasn't moved more than 1 square and has a hand empty (Quick action). Any creature of non evil alignment that picks up the weapon suffers an immediate 3 CON damage. Snakebite's Custom Poison: Attack vs. DEF (CON). Effect via injury. Snakebite coats itself continually. Once per year, Poisyn needs to bathe the dagger in a whole tubfull of poison for it to continue coating itself the way it does. Initial Effect: +10 poison damage; -3 CON. Secondary Effect: After encounter, roll attack again vs. DEF (CON): on a hit, Snakebite does an additional 7 points of damage and -3 CON. Paralysis: On a natural 20 Power Attack roll, Snakebite also causes paralysis (victim can't move, but may otherwise cast nonverbal spells and powers that don't require movement or focus item for the rest of the encounter). If the victim is hurt by the Secondary Effect and is also paralyzed, this condition lasts for another 5 minutes.
Cost: 5 DP

- Snake's Tongue: +5 Unholy/Throwing/Returning/Brilliant/Psi Burn dagger (7 + 7 unholy, + Psi Burn) Psi Burn: Snake's Tongue causes permanent INT loss at a rate of -1 INT per successful hit, and Slows the victim for 1 round. Brilliant: glows as brightly as a torch as its blade is actually made of divine, unholy light. Poisyn can hide the glow, but when she does so, it does not operate as a Brilliant weapon (can't pass through armor).
Cost: 7 DP.

MAGIC GEAR
Everyday garb and equipment: (yet to come, but Boots of Spider Climb are for certain)

Poisons, alphabetically:
Black Serpent is a poison that needs to enter the bloodstream to work, destroying the victim's vascular system in a matter of heartbeats. It counts as Poisyn's most painful brew.
Blue Tarantula is a slower-working poison, it's effects manifesting only after several hours, when the stricken one becomes victim of memory loss, hallucinations, paranoia, and slowly but surely, stupor. Poisyn usually masks the effects with another, lesser poison.
Green Ghost is a versatile poison, that can be thinly and invisibly smeared on objects to infect a person by contact with bare skin. Its scent is vague but also poisonous, and when digested it works just fine too but twice as slow. Its effects include painful spasms and loss of resilience.
Orange Mist is the vapour contained in vials that shatter on impact with solid objects. It causes blindness, deafness and nausea.
Red Haze is a potent drug that augments physical strength but causes fits of rage, triggered by the slightest negative sentiment. Red Haze brings its recipient in a frenzy that sustains itself until the victim collapses from exhaustion. The poison is highly addictive.
Snakebite's Custom Poison is what Poisyn's magical dagger continually coats itself in. It significantly weakens her opponent.
White Satin is a sense-numbing admixture that needs to be ingested to work. The recipient feels nothing and his sight is blurred, while experiencing a feeling of perfect bliss. Again, this drug is addictive, and eats away a person's bodily and mental health overtime.

Poisons, by PR (Poison Rating):
PR 10 - Snakebite's Custom Poison: injury. Poison and CON Damage.
PR 10 - Green Ghost: contact, scent inhaled, ingested. CON damage.
PR 12 - White Satin: ingested. Chance of losing 1 random ability point. Addictive (DEF: Wis to resist - goes up with 1 each time another dose is taken).
PR 14 - Orange Mist: inhaled. Blindness and deafness have a chance to last, but nausea passes after a while.
PR 16 - Red Haze: ingested. STR boost. Addictive (DEF: Wis to resist - goes up with 2 each time another dose is taken).
PR 18 - Blue Tarantula: injury. Slow and gradual INT and WIS loss.
PR 20 - Black Serpent: injury. Poison and CON damage.

BACKGROUND INFO:
Realm / stronghold:
Having always resided in Shroud, the Plane of Madness, Poisyn has in the recent past moved towards a keep in the dome that makes up for the plane's boundaries - with the Void itself providing protection from intruders on one side, and some improvements in the architecture of the keep itself that she claimed from an audacious and very mortal adept, Poisyn's paranoia has been subdued a little bit. Still, while Nicheholme may look shabby on the outside, with several stages of construction showing in an amalgam of styles and masonry quality, Poisyn's new den is well protected on the inside. Trespassers will adore its trapdoors, hidden pitfalls, corridors leading nowhere and well-armed guards within the double walls. Even the serving personel (creatures coerced into loyalty by life-long mindgames and fear for punishment; quite a lot by drugging, too) sometimes forget what door leads where and which doorknobs were poisoned.
Poisyn also never invites guests, as an added safety measure. People who want to strike a deal can do so in Nexus, or in either her outpost settlements in Olora or Stogosa, which she keeps a frim grasp on to ensure a steady supply of foodstuffs for her minions and ingredients for her own brews.

Tenets:
"Poison Beauty, Embellish Evil. Encourage Foul Play, Unite the Wicked. Always Slay the Truth."

Personal Goals / occupations / relations:
Aside from Poisyn's never-ending search for new reagents and potentially poisonous substances, to outsiders there is but one thing that she seems able to focus on: establishing her name on Shroud and among the gods and the mortals of Mawr Dobb as well, preferably in connotation with fearful awe for what she can and dare do.

When she's not experimenting with new poisons, Poisyn is often on the prowl, keeping eyes and ears open in hopes of later using the knowledge in her advantage - even if that advantage may simply be spreading false rumours about others, which may be petty of her, but is one of her guilty pleasures nonetheless. It is impossible to keep track of Poisyn constantly though, since it is hard to predict her moves, and even the best of spies cannot account for all of her spare time.
Meanwhile, in the mortal realms, Poisyn is letting her followers organise the first Witch Night, a festival in her honour that is going to end badly for a lot of innocent people, but that information is only known to few.

The Goddess of Lies does not maintain alliances with any other god, at least not any long-lasting ones, with he notable exception of Corax, God of Assassins.
The gods that recognise her skills would attempt to hire her services sometimes, but sparking Poisyn's interest and keeping her attention long enough is one thing, and noticing the one being manipulated isn't her is another. This also applies to Poisyn's romantic escapades, although few gods ever would admit such thing.
There's a reoccuring rumour about Poisyn actually working with a small band of other gods on a long-term and obscure plan to gain a lot of power in a very short amount of time once it's come to fruition. Whether the existence of this Dark Cabal is veritable, remains to be seen.

Personality:
Poisyn is a volatile nutcase who can be reasonable for short amounts of time, when properly motivated, until either her paranoia or egotistical and chaotic nature chimes in. She likes to tear down what's orderly, make crooked what is true, and generally reduce the world around her to something as close to the disorganised mess that she has for a psyche as possible.
She's prone to fits, but usually likes to undermine things with layered lies and manipulations, often losing overview herself. Despite this, Poisyn is intelligent, and likes to feint stupidity or a drug-induced stupor if it helps her achieve her goals. It is to say, if she doesn't change them along the way.
This jumbled-up personality makes Poisyn very hard to get through to, and what no-one knows, not even herself, is that despite her wicked nature she is, or has once been, capable of friendship and affection. Now the memory lies buried under a stack of lies and feelings of disappointment and malice, unlikely to ever surface again.

Physical appearance:
Poisyn's looks and style of dress are in constant change, though the other gods can without effort recognise her by her actions alone. Lately, she wears her red hair long and has been spotted in an almost sleazy garb, wearing an amalgam of discoloured, close-fitting but indeterminable garments.
Poisyn's past experiments on herself have left her thin but tough like a weed that just won't die, and she prides herself on her resilience. Men still tend to think her attractive though, which she uses to her advantage.
She occasionally has her fingernails grow awkwardly long, and is known to poison them at times.

Key Followers/Servants/Minions:

- Loreen and Tasha, two 'close' females recruited from Dak'Otha's domain. Both were given the lead over a squad of thralls and handed a vial of Silvertongue each, which would assist them in persuading more to follow Poisyn.

- Master Azidpor: a naga-minion of Poisyn, tending to everyday's business – supply of prisoners, goods and all things concerning personnel - at Nicheholme. Some call him stern, cruel, cold and calculating; Poisyn calls him efficient.
- Lady Lirimaer Amandil: the major of Moloch, a nigh-lawless city on Olora, second-lowest layer of Shroud. The Lady of Moloch is also head of the local temple, the biggest there is for Poisyn in all of the cosmos.
- Muenda and Mudada: playing the roles of 'good warden, bad warden' in Poisyn's vast dungeon, keeping a fluctuating six hundred prisoners in check.
- Sajud Iskariot: the half-blood fiend who is in charge of Poisyn's huge caravan serai on Stogosa, second-highest layer of Shroud. His most praised skills include striking quite profitable deals, and 'creative' book-keeping.

On Mawr Dobb, the three people coordinating followers of Poisyn to join for Witch Night are the following:
- Didrin the Fair: a young prodigy finding herself ruling a little barony only two years after starting out as a servant girl in the baron's castle. While the baron himself is technically still in charge, although sinking away in madness and apathy further and further, Didrin has accumulated an impressive band of followers and admirers, many a young man of which would give their lives to ear her approval. Didrin travels the land and recruits other people of stature into her secret society through exciting, daring parties, or so the rumours among the bourgeois go.
- Morcades the Red-Handed: master of an infamous assassin's guild. He has a cousin doubling as himself over at his hometown at the moment, to fool local authorities.
- Tiphalpha: a shaman-woman specialised in ritualistic beverages that bestow an array of desired effects on warriors – she is quite old, and some claim she's since long dead already but embracing a form of un-life to continue serving Poisyn.

Tucked away in the labyrinth of rooms and halls and duneons that is Poisyn's residence Nicheholme, are of course also her prisoners, many of which end up performing services ranging from espionage over manual labour to guinea pig. Mentioned so far are:
- Fritz: a young grey elf shadowrunner Poisyn snatched out of a Keldian prison on a whim, mostly for kicks and giggles.
- A certain black Kritt woman Poisyn didn't bother aksing the name of. Feinting sickness, she tried to take on Poisyn with a dagger, but ended up promising servitude. Her loyalty remains to be seen, though.

Not sure whether I'm going to make a full-fledged Media Section like I did in Theryn's thread, but I thought I'd share this anyway.

Remember the classic by Alice Cooper? Here's a cover by ex-Nightwish-singer Tarja:

Poisyn's Accomplishments

New postby Pippa » Sun May 31, 2009 4:42 am

POISYN's ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Chapter 1: Prologue

So far, Poisyn has:
- sparked naugthy thoughts in both Dethloq and Zool. But that's a passive accomplisment, anyway.
- singlehandedly killed her pet spider (and discarded the remains)
- got shot (but you can see that as, 'sampled an unkown substance')
- skipped her daily portion of fruit, because that would have been healthy
- discovered a dimensional hole, and a unipony
- resisted the temptation to stab the Elven lady or Muffins, but that's not necessarily a good thing
- tasted what ogre was like
- tasted what muffins were like
- entered a dungeon without being noticed, or at least not by people who will live long enough to tell
- made her opinion towards Law Enforcement clear to everyone present
- made a skree poison himself
- tasted what skree-sweat tastes like
- brought four prisoners over to Shroud (without force!)
- met Zool, who chose the Dragonspawn as a new body for his spirit
- brought sandwiches
- caught Fritz when he ran away
- added both the grey elf and the black kritt to Nicheholm's guestbook
- woke Dethloq's poetic muse.
- sprinkled self-mutilating followers of Dak'Otha with - ouch - pepper
- checked to see if Dak'Othat's acid trap worked properly, which it did
- managed to insult quite a lot of Dak'Otha's friends and staff, causing the DM's ears to whistle for days afterwards
- pushed Curst's buttons even farther than was thought possible, disgusting Dethloq in the process
- stealing lots and lots of Curst's intellect, which helped Zool to possess him
- underestimated Zool's bad temper a little
- caused speculations about Kane killing off evil gods to arise
- claimed a mask for herself and recrutied two from Dak'Otha's old followers

More to come, hopefully!
