The Lost Illuminarii PbP 2 (OOC)
THE LOST ILLUMINARII
PbP Introduction
PbP Introduction
Before he created the gods, Yahweh created the Illuminarii: Zool, Xokilar and Kyara, and blessed each with power even greater than his highest angels. He gave them much leeway and encouraged them to explore the universe he had made. Knowing their hearts, their power, and his plans for the future of his creation, he instructed them to serve, not rule; to guide and inspire, not enslave and lord over the lesser races.
Yahweh revealed his plans to create a race of god-like beings and cautioned the illuminarii to act as muses, role-models, using their gifts to help the gods accomplish great things for Yahweh’s glory, and to encourage them in their paths. This new race of gods would play a more dominant role in the days ahead, than the Illuminarii themselves. Yahweh told them, "The first shall be last and the last shall be first. If anyone wants to lead, they must first become a servant to all."
This did not sit well with Zool, who became very angry. Kyara responded with child-like excitement, eager to aid the coming gods. Xokilar was too self-absorbed with his own power and exploring the universe to bother with gods, and wandered off.
Much has happened since that time.
Zool desired Kyara and her power. Several times he assaulted her, but each time Yahweh intervened. Zool corrupted gods and mortals, and spread misery wherever he went.
Kyara's heart was full of love and hope and the appreciation of the simple pleasures of life. She encouraged many, spreading joy to all that would accept it, for she knew that joy was a choice, and one that she refused to set aside, despite Zool's hostilities.
Xokilar had little interest in the welfare of others, for he saw before him the diverse and mysterious planes and followed his curiosity, which led him down the path of magic. He soon became the greatest arcane shaper who ever lived, and conquered Cosmothea, the infinite plane of magic.
Yahweh had been very patient with Zool, but after several attempts to rape the beautiful Kyara and being warned, Zool would not curb his lust. Yahweh hid her from Zool and she has not been seen since. Zool has gone to great lengths to find her, sending out spies across the realms.
Finally, the dark Illuminarii turned his attention to Xokilar, whom he eventually killed, absorbing a portion of the dead illuminarii's power. Zool made sure Xokilar would never return and then set out once again to find Kyara, more obsessed with her than ever, but in his righteous anger, Yahweh destroyed Zool's body, scattering the Illuminarii's power across the realms. The dark illuminarii has not been seen for thousands of years, but his spies and minions are still searching for Kyara, and so she remains hidden.
Some are convinced Zool is back and slowly gaining in power. It is said he will rise again, find Kyara, absorb her power and then challenge Yahweh himself. As for Kyara, Yahweh knew well that Zool and his followers would be able to detect her no matter where she hid, so he split her power among lesser beings, making her undetectable. In the event that one of her power vessels were found, Yahweh hid the knowledge of Kyara's location and power deep within their minds, lest anyone read a vessel's surface thoughts and discover the secret of the lost Illuminarii.
No one save Yahweh knew who held Kyara's power, nor their locations, but placed within certain vessels a key to locating Kyara and gathering her power so that at the proper time, she would be restored. Yet something terrible has happened, and some of the keys, though well hidden, were found prematurely. How long before Zool discovers the truth about Kyara and comes to collect that which he covets most?
This story is not only about the fate of a lost Illuminarii and the rising of a dead illuminarii - it is about those who were given the keys to power itself. The days are numbered … what will you do with the time you have left?

Ok, I'll go ahead and ask the question: Is anyone interested in playing in the Lost Illuminarii PbP after the contest, whether you were in the contest or not?
I think it's pretty obvious this story is just getting heated up and honestly I've got lots of ideas to continue it for some time to come, but I will only do that if we get a solid group that wants to pursue this.
Please weigh in on the following, thanks!
A) If you are interested or not
B) Whether you would prefer to continue using the Ultra-lite Rules 1 or 2 more may be added if clarity is needed (you can tell me that as well, and I'd be appreciative!
C) If you want to play, if you can commit to 2x per week minimum and
D) If you want to play, whether you would continue your existing character or roll up another (and we'd turn your character into an NPC or wrap up their story somehow or another.
... and anything else you'd like to say about the topic, of course.
Let me know. Thanks!
